Christmas has already begun at the Art Attack Angus studio. If you look in the window, you will spot a reindeer or two nestled between the craft kits. As Winter approaches, we all want to find that little bit of hygge to warm our hearts and help us find that festive cheer. Arts and crafts are one of the best ways to boost your wellbeing, de-stress and practice mindfulness. So why not enjoy a cosy, Christmas crafting session in the Art Attack Angus studio? Check out the top five Crafty Christmas Activities at Art Attack Angus below!
Number 1: Macrame Angel Workshop
Macrame is a popular new trend in home decor. But it's also an artistic skill that you can learn from our local maker Joanne. Macrame is the art of tying knots into geometrical patterns and creating a rustic, but beautiful, fringe effect.
Is Macrame hard to learn?
Macrame isn't hard, although it can look very complex. It is actually a simple and enjoyable craft that anyone can learn to do.
Is it suitable for beginners?
Yes! Macrame is perfect for beginners. You can learn several basic knots in just a couple of hours. So why not come along and enjoy making this festive Macrame Angel to adorn your Christmas tree? You will learn simple Macrame techniques and produce a unique piece of artwork in a relaxed, Christmassy environment.
Number 2: Christmas Lantern
Next up on the list of Crafty Christmas Activities is the Christmas Lantern Workshop. It's taking place on the 11th November and the 2nd December, so why not invite your friends to come along too?
Join Lauren in the studio for a relaxing and sociable class where you will transform a lantern into a magical Christmas scene. Put your own twist on the lantern and create something unique for your home or a perfect handmade gift for a loved one.
Number 3: 'Bear Stays up for Christmas' Workshop
Art Attack Angus caters for all ages and number three on the list of Crafty Christmas Activities is perfect for preschool children. The magical tale of 'Bear Stays up for Christmas' inspires this craft based, storytelling session in which your preschool child can build their own teddy bear. Each Christmas bear will have a wintery hat and scarf, and your child can help to make an easy 'no-sew' patchwork blanket to keep him warm too.
Join Lauren in the studio for this wonderful Winter workshop. The class includes refreshments and a Christmas decoration to paint, as well as the Christmas Bear. The sessions are available to book Saturday 26th November and Saturday 3rd December. But be quick! Spaces are limited and filling up fast! Book via the Art Attack Angus website.
Number 4: A Messy Makes Christmas
